An informed source in the telecommunications sector in Sudan said that the Rapid Support Militia suspended the companies (Sudani and MTN) from operating.
According to the source, the militia separated the main operators of the two companies from within Khartoum State, while Zain’s services were stopped from the River Nile State only.
The source accused the Rapid Support Militia of seeking to destroy the communications sector after it caused severe damage to the banking sector and the production sector.
He said that stopping operators exposes telecommunications companies to huge losses.
