Darfur Governor: The War in Sudan is a “Foreign Invasion”

Germany – AlMohagig

The head of the Sudan Liberation Movement and the governor of the Darfur region, Minni Arko Minnawi, said the war currently taking place in Sudan erupted due to the accumulation of mistakes, pointing out that he sees the Sudanese crisis reaching its climax and that they do not want to dwell on the painful past, but rather move forward to search for solutions.

Minnawi explained in the think-tank meeting of the offices of the Sudan Liberation Army Movement in Germany that this war taking place now is not like previous wars, which come as a result of national political demands, and dictatorial regimes commit atrocities as a reaction to national political expression. Instead, this war is a foreign invasion.

He continued, saying, “There had been preparation for this war by bringing in, recruiting, and mobilizing large numbers of foreigners and mercenaries who were mobilized to establish an ideological ethnic state that aims to bring about a major demographic change at the expense of the indigenous population of Sudan, who have lived for hundreds of years.”

Minawi pointed out that the conspiracy currently underway in Sudan was contributed by Sudanese cadres who accepted subordination to cover foreign ambitions for this war, indicating that those cadres who accepted subordination to the foreigners were employed to play the role of the political backbone for fighters from Sudanese and foreign elements.

He then wondered: Do all banks belong to the previous regime? Are citizens’ homes the same? Are the rapes targeting the former government? Do the hundreds of thousands of stolen cars belong to the former government? Did the thousands of mercenaries who came from abroad claim to be angels and messengers of goodness that they entered Sudan to purify it of that same regime?

Minawi stated that the time has come to agree on the second independence of Sudan, noting other than the absolute independence that can end exploitation, unilateral domination and dependence on others. He pointed out that independence is establishing the state, building its national institutions, and repairing what was damaged by the age of corruption and war.

“This is your time to race to build your country by managing the diversity it enjoys”, He added.
