Yesterday, Sunday, was the conclusion of a workshop titled “Issues and Challenges of the National Forces”, organised by the Future Movement for Reform and Development in the city of Port Sudan.
In a press statement, the movement stated that the two-day workshop saw participation from various social and political segments, including academics, civil society activists, political blocs, and civic leaders from different regions of Sudan. It also involved contributions from leaders of armed struggle forces and the participation of Sudanese academics from abroad.
The statement added that the workshop discussed the current political challenges facing national forces, shedding light on the history of political alliances and emphasising the necessity of engaging in political dialogue in Sudan. Participants further explored concepts related to civil society and defined national forces, considering the composition of Sudanese political forces and civil society institutions.
Summarising the discussions on both days, the statement concluded that the movement will work on disseminating the outcomes and the developed course to the Sudanese public, aiming to broaden the discourse on issues concerning the nation and its citizens. After approval, the movement will publish the final discussions through its official channels and media outlets.
