Zain-Sudan: Free Subscription Following Gradual Resumption of Operations

The Sudanese Mobile Telecommunications Company – Zain – announced on Sunday the gradual return of its service, covering in the first stage the states of Northern, Red Sea, and River Nile, then the states of Kassala and Al-Qadarif tomorrow, Monday. This comes after installing a new splitter in Port Sudan, which was completed with exceptional technical effort and in record time. Zain explained in a statement that the gradual return of the service may be accompanied by the absence and inability to provide some services at this stage, with some subscribers unable to use their remaining previous balances. Zain said: “We assure our subscribers of the company’s concern for safeguarding their rights and balances until the network returns to its normal state. In appreciation of this, Zain announces to its subscribers the availability of internet service and on-network calling for free for a limited period.”
