Port Sudan – Almohagig
This morning, Tuesday, the Regional Director of the World Health Organization for the Eastern Mediterranean, Dr. Hanan Balkhi, along with her accompanying delegation, arrived at Port Sudan Airport. She was received by the acting Federal Minister of Health, Dr Haitham Mohammed Ibrahim, the Director General of the Health Sector in the Red Sea State, Dr Ahlam Abdul Rasoul, the Director of the Organization’s Office in Sudan, Dr Ahmed Zouiten, and several ministry officials. Balkhi will visit several health institutions in Port Sudan, including the Children’s Hospital, the Isolation Center, the Medical Supplies Fund, Suakin Hospital, and the Thawra Health Center. She will also witness the inauguration of a grant from Japan. Balkhi will hold meetings with leaders of the Federal Ministry of Health and several international organizations and then meet with the Deputy Chairman of the Sovereignty Council, Malik Agar.
