Port Sudan – almohagig
Today, the President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council, General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, met with the African Peace and Security Architecture (APSA) delegation for Sudan, led by Mohamed Ben Shembas. The meeting was held in the presence of the Acting Foreign Minister, Ambassador Ali Al-Sadiq.
The Foreign Minister explained in a press statement that the head of APSA had held meetings in the past period with leaders of political parties and civil society organisations in Cairo, Addis Ababa, and elsewhere, where they discussed visions and ideas for ending the war and restoring peace and stability in Sudan.
He noted that today’s visit aims to brief the President of the Sovereignty Council on APSA’s efforts in this regard in order to develop a solution that is presented to all parties and leads to achieving peace and stability in the country.
