Fourth Qatari Aid Plane Lands in Port Sudan

Today, the fourth plane carrying humanitarian aid for those affected by the war in Sudan arrived at Port Sudan Airport as part of the air bridge organised by the State of Qatar.

The acting Governor of the Red Sea, Major General Mustafa Muhammad Nour, who received the plane, confirmed that the humanitarian support that has been continuing from the State of Qatar confirms the strength and depth of the eternal relations between the two countries and the two peoples and had a great impact in bridging the gap in medical, food and shelter needs, praising the role of Qatari organisations like the Qatar Red Crescent, Qatar Airways, the Qatar Charity Organization, and the Qatari Embassy staff headed by the Ambassador, who was always present and participating in all the events.

The fourth plane within the Qatari air bridge arrived carrying 40 tons of humanitarian aid, including emergency medicines, life-saving medicines, medicines for chronic diseases, and shelter materials and food supplies.

The plane was also received by the Director General of the Health Sector, the Minister of Health in charge of the state, Dr Ahlam Abdel Rasoul, the Ambassador of the State of Qatar accredited to Sudan, Hamad Ibrahim Al-Sada, the Consul at the Qatari Embassy, Abdullah Al-Muhannadi, the Director of the Sudan Airports Administration, Othman Al-Awad, the Director of the Qatar Red Crescent, Sudan Office, Salah Daak, and the Director of Qatar Charity. For her part, Dr. Ahlam Abdel Rasoul applauded the continuous and fruitful efforts of the State of Qatar in light of the humanitarian circumstances and conditions and their results. She expressed her thanks and appreciation to the government and people of the State of Qatar, who were quick to provide support, medical supplies, and humanitarian aid to Sudan.
