MSF-Holland Enhances Support for Liberated Hospitals in Khartoum

Omdurman – almohagig

The Governor of Khartoum, Ahmed Osman Hamza, expressed his appreciation for the activity of the Dutch organisation Doctors Without Borders and the support it has provided to the state’s hospitals during the war, supporting both patients and staff at the Al-Naw, Saudi, and Al-Buluk hospitals.

This came during a Wednesday meeting between the governor and the director of Doctors Without Borders today, attended by the Director-General of the State Ministry of Health, Dr. Mahmoud Al-Qaim.

The organisation’s director said, ‘We have a qualified team, most of whom are Sudanese, working in full cooperation and coordination with the selected state hospitals,’ confirming their readiness to work in hospitals without armed confrontations.

The meeting secured the protocol renewal for the organisation to continue working with the Ministry of Health in the agreed-upon hospitals and ensure the organization’s ability to carry out its tasks in the state.
