Al-Burhan on Eid… Messages for the Domestic and Foreign Fronts

From the area of Um Shajara in Al-Qadarif state to Hamshkoreib and Aroma in Kassala state to the city of Al-Qadarif and then to Port Sudan, this was the schedule of the head of the Sovereignty Council, Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, on the first and second day of Eid al-Fitr, carrying several messages to domestic and foreign fronts.

In the deserts of Hamshkoreib, Al-Burhan called on the people of the region to continue supplicating and praying for the victory of the armed forces in their battle against mercenaries and rebels, affirming that the armed forces are the bulwark of Sudan’s security.

Al-Burhan expressed appreciation for the significant roles played by the family of Sheikh Ali Beitai in the field of Da’wah and guidance, stating that all of Sudan attests to the greatness of the Beitai family, which contributed to spreading the teachings of religion, teaching the Quran, and instilling national education in society, noting that Sudan is preserved by the prayers of the sincere and righteous.

Al-Burhan expressed his gratitude and appreciation to the people of Hamshkoreib for their warm reception and generous hospitality, stressing the necessity of rallying around the pillars of national unity and rejecting discord and division.

In Aroma, Al-Burhan was received by Nazir Mohammed Al-Amin Turk, the general overseer of the Hadandawa tribes, the region’s leaders, and crowds of citizens who rushed to receive him and offer congratulations in a spontaneous scene.

Al-Burhan congratulated the citizens on the blessed Eid al-Fitr, praising the efforts of the people of the East in supporting and assisting the armed forces and fighting alongside them in the same trench for the sovereignty and unity of Sudan and the integrity of its territories.

 

Details of the Visit to Al-Qadarif

 

Al-Burhan arrived in Al-Qadarif as part of his field visits to the States to assess the overall situation.

Mohammed Abdul Rahman Mahjoub, the governor of Al-Qadarif state, the commander of the Eastern Military Region, the commander of the Second Infantry Division, several executive officials in the state government, and leaders of the security agencies, the armed forces, the police, and the intelligence service in the state, received him.

During his visit to the city of Al-Qadarif, the head of the Sovereignty Council held a meeting with the state’s security committee and received an update on the state’s overall situation, especially its security situation.

He also visited the military hospital, inspecting the wounded and injured in the battle of dignity against the terrorist Rapid Support Forces rebels.

Al-Burhan performed the Eid prayer in the area of Um Shajara in Al-Qadarif state.

He said in his address to the people of the region that everyone realises that these terrorist rebel militias must be eliminated entirely, adding that people should rest assured that the armed forces, supported by popular resistance and mobilisation, are capable of ending the rebellion and defeating these terrorist militias.

He explained that through experiencing the battle of dignity, the people know who stands with them inside and outside and also know who betrayed them and stands against them, adding, “Anyone who stands against the people will not have a role in managing the Sudanese state in the future,” affirming that only those who stood firm against the injustice and violations of these rebel militias will manage the state.

He added, “Our coming Eid, God willing, will be without Janjaweed or mercenaries.”

Al-Burhan said that the people of the East have legitimate issues, and we are aware of them and will work to resolve and address them.

He expressed his great confidence in God’s victory soon, stating that the battle against the terrorist Rapid Support Forces would end with the armed forces’ victory.

 

Eid Greetings in Port Sudan

 

On the second day of Eid (Thursday), Al-Burhan received congratulations in his office on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr from the members of the Transitional Sovereignty Council, Lieutenant General Shamseddine Kabbashi, the Deputy Commander-in-Chief, and Major General Bakhit, Ibrahim Jaber, the Assistant to the Commander-in-Chief.

He also received congratulations from members of the Council of Ministers in the presence of members of the Transitional Sovereignty Council, Kabbashi, and Ibrahim Jaber.

He also received congratulations on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr from a delegation of the General Intelligence Service headed by Lieutenant General Amin Ahmed Ibrahim Mufaddal, the Service director, in the presence of Kabbashi and Ibrahim Jaber.

He also received congratulations on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr from officers, non-commissioned officers, and soldiers of the police forces, headed by Lieutenant General Khalid Hassan, the General Director of the Police Forces.

He also received congratulations from a delegation of officers, non-commissioned officers, and soldiers of the Red Sea Military Region, headed by the Commander of the Region, Brigadier General Mohamed Osman Mohamed Hamad.

 

The Three Refusals

 

The head of the Transitional Sovereignty Council, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, addressed the Sudanese people on the eve of Eid with a brief speech in which he announced a full commitment to resolving the battle with the Rapid Support Forces militarily and that there would be no negotiations before that. He affirmed that there is no going back to the period before the outbreak of the war on 15 April 2023 and no going back before October 25, 2021, the date of the overthrow of the government of the Central Council group in the forces of freedom and change, nor to before 11 April 2019, the date of the overthrow of the Salvation Regime.
