Russia Reiterates its Support for Sudan, its Sovereignty and Territorial Integrity

Transitional Sovereignty Council member Lieutenant General Shams Al-Din Kabbashi, Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, and the Russian Special Envoy for the Middle East and Africa, Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov, discussed bilateral relations between Sudan and Russia and ways to enhance political, economic, military, and cultural cooperation in the presence of the Foreign Minister-designate, Ambassador Hussein Awad Ali.

The member of the Transitional Sovereignty Council applauded Russia’s positions in support of Sudanese legitimacy, stressing that all attempts by those lurking in Sudan’s interests, sovereignty, and stability are doomed to failure, according to a circular published by the Transitional Sovereignty Council’s media.

Lieutenant General Kabashi confirmed Sudan’s openness to all bloodshed initiatives, but within the framework of Sudanese legitimacy and vision that guarantees and preserves the full rights of the Sudanese people.

The Foreign Minister-designate explained in a press statement that the Russian envoy denounced the claims based on equality between the legitimacy of the Sudanese state and the rebellion during the meeting.

The minister said that the meeting secured Russia’s support for Sudan in confronting everything that would threaten its sovereignty and the interests of its people.
