Djibouti – almohagig
The President of the Republic of Djibouti and the current Chairperson of the IGAD, Ismaïl Omar Guelleh, received on Monday the Special Envoy of the IGAD to Sudan, Lawrence Corbandy, accompanied by the Executive Secretary of the IGAD, Workneh Gebeyehu.
The meeting discussed addressing the urgent challenges facing Sudan and the Sudanese people.
President Guelleh emphasised the importance of unity, stability, and comprehensive peace negotiations in Sudan while recognising the pivotal role played by IGAD in promoting peace and development throughout the region.
