Sudan Calls for Strategic Partnership with Iran

Sudanese Minister of Finance and Economic Planning, Dr. Jibril Ibrahim Mohamed, called for establishing strategic partnerships between Sudan and Iran in the field of infrastructure.

During his meeting with the Iranian Minister of Economy and Finance, Ali Tayebnia, on the sidelines of the Islamic Development Bank Group meetings held in the Saudi capital Riyadh, Dr. Jibril urged to benefit from Tehran’s expertise in infrastructure.The meeting discussed the bilateral relations between the two countries and how to develop and enhance them to serve both interests.

Dr. Jibril Ibrahim explained the consequences of the ongoing war in Sudan and its implications since last year.

For his part, the Iranian Minister of Finance, Ali Tayebnia, reiterated the ancient relations between the two countries and his commitment to preserving and developing them in all fields. He also expressed a shared regret for the situation in Sudan due to the ongoing war, demonstrating a mutual understanding and concern.
