Health and Development Projects Launched with Saudi Funding

Sovereignty Council member, Lieutenant General Ibrahim Jaber, inaugurated (Thursday) in Port Sudan, health and development projects at a cost of about (2,400,000) Saudi riyals, represented by the rehabilitation of dialysis centers and the provision of (38) dialysis machines distributed in (6) states and (66). A medical device for children’s hospitals in Kassala and North Kordofan states, and an oxygen generation station at Al-Obeid Children’s Specialized Hospital.

Jaber appreciated the efforts to support and stabilize the health system and development projects, calling on organizations to play their role in the development and humanitarian fields. He thanked the Saudi ambassador, through him, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, his Crown Prince, the Saudi people, the King Salman Center for Relief and Humanitarian Aid, and all its supporters.

Federal Minister of Health, Haitham Ibrahim, stressed the importance of the projects as they contribute to saving the lives of children and kidney patients, and help promote and upgrade health services in the targeted areas, and

The Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Ali bin Jaafar, said that what the Kingdom provides to Sudan is “the Sudanese’s right upon us,” stressing that the Kingdom will continue to provide development and relief projects.
