The Deputy Chairman of the Transitional Sovereignty Council, Commander Malik Agar Air, received a briefing on the measures taken by the Ministry of Labor and Administrative Reform to build the database of state workers that was destroyed by the terrorist Rapid Support militia.

During his meeting today with the Acting Minister of Labor and Administrative Reform, Ahmed Ali Abdel Rahman, Agar was briefed on what the ministry has implemented with regard to procedures for rationalizing expenditure.

Aqar checked on the conditions of civil service workers in the government sector, including the disbursement of salaries and their presence inside the country or outside Sudan in a legal and official capacity, according to what is stipulated in the civil service regulations and laws.

The meeting touched on the importance of implementing civil service laws and regulations and extending the prestige and sovereignty of the state, pointing out the necessity of holding accountable units that violate civil service laws in their application of labor regulations.

For his part, the Minister of Labor and Administrative Reform explained in a press statement that the meeting discussed the ministry’s performance in its public and private sectors and the conditions of state workers.

He stated that the Ministry has begun collecting and arranging data on state employees to rebuild the database by restricting data related to employees’ personal information, academic qualifications, job grades, the units they belong to, their net salaries, and whether the employee or worker is on leave, secondment, or loan.

The minister added that the information is sent no later than the end of next June via the ministry’s website, and the information is approved by the state presidency or the secretariat of governments, localities, and administrative units.

Regarding workers residing outside Sudan, His Excellency confirmed that their data is approved through consulates and embassies.

His Excellency indicated that he briefed the Vice-President of the Sovereignty Council on the Ministry’s plan and vision to rebuild and reconstruct what was destroyed by the war, including the database and infrastructure.

The Minister of Labor and Administrative Reform stated that the Ministry has established two vocational training centers in the states of South Kordofan and Blue Nile, indicating that the Vice President of the Sovereignty Council pays great attention to vocational training and directed the introduction of new programs and modern technologies to develop small professions.
