The Acting Foreign Minister, Ambassador Hussein Awad Ali, chaired Sudan’s delegation to the tenth ministerial meeting of the Arab-Chinese Cooperation Forum on Thursday in Beijing. Chinese President Xi Jinping addressed the meeting, which was attended by leaders of Bahrain, Egypt, and Tunisia, Arab foreign ministers, and the Secretary-General of the Arab League.

The minister delivered Sudan’s speech at the conference, outlining the dimensions of the war waged by terrorist militias, their foreign mercenaries, and their regional sponsors against the citizens, sovereignty, unity, national institutions, and economic resources of the country. He underscored the unbreakable unity of Sudan and its people in confronting this treacherous scheme, a unity that is the backbone of the heroic role of the Sudanese Armed Forces, supported by the entire Sudanese people.

The minister called on friendly and brotherly countries and the international community to condemn the crimes of these terrorist militias and support Sudan in overcoming this current crisis.

The ministers unanimously approved the forum’s action plan for the period 2024-2026 and the joint statement between China and Arab countries on the Palestinian issue. Moreover, the Beijing Declaration was issued during the meeting, which not only endorsed but eagerly anticipated the holding of the upcoming Arab-Chinese Summit in Beijing in 2026, a summit of great importance and potential.
