Sovereignty Council Chairman and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, arrived on Saturday in the city of Sennar and was received by the acting governor of Sennar State, Muhammad Ali Abdullah, and the commander of the Blue Nile Military Region and the commander of the advance of Sennar, Major General Dr. Rabei Abdullah, leaders of the state’s regular agencies, and a group of citizens.
He received a detailed briefing about the operational situation in the sector and the readiness of the armed forces, other regular agencies, and those mobilized from the popular resistance to repel any attempts by the enemy to destabilize the security and stability of Sennar State.
He went on to inspect the front lines of the Sennar advance defenses and determined their readiness to defeat the rebels from the terrorist Rapid Support militias.
Al-Burhan praised the heroic performance of the heroes of the armed forces and regular forces in defeating the militia.
He also inspected the wounded and casualties of the Battle of Karama, both regulars and citizens, at Al-Kifah Specialized Hospital in the city of Sennar.
