Mineral Resources Company and SSMO Discuss Creating a Unified Window for Gold Exports

The Director General of the Sudanese Mineral Resources Company Limited, Mohamed Taher Omar, revealed that progress has been made in improving gold export procedures and reducing transaction windows for traders and exporters by creating a unified window that includes all parties related to export operations. This will maximise the country’s gold and other minerals exports and support the national economy.

This was revealed during his meeting with Rahba Saeed Abdullah, the Director General of the Sudanese Standards and Metrology Organization, on Thursday in Port Sudan.

Taher discussed all issues related to gold export operations and mechanisms for facilitating export transactions for merchants and exporters in the presence of directors of public administrations and representatives of security services.

For her part, the Director General of the Sudanese Standards and Metrology Organization, Rahba Saeed Abdullah, revealed tireless efforts in coordination with the Sudanese Mineral Resources Company Limited to begin work on the unified window for export procedures within two weeks in coordination with all relevant authorities. She explained that the unified window aims to reduce the time for export procedures so that exporters are not negatively affected by the extension of waiting times.
