Almohagig obtained details of the organisations and countries participating in the ministerial conference on the humanitarian situation in Sudan, which is scheduled to be held in Paris the following Monday.

An informed diplomatic source who spoke to Almohagig revealed that the main participants so far, according to the follow-ups, are the well-known donor countries in Western Europe, America, Japan, and South Korea.

The source added that several Arab countries will participate, led by Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, the Emirates, the Sultanate of Oman, and Djibouti (the current president of IGAD). The League of Arab States, global funds and financial houses, and international organizations will also participate.

The source continued that a delegation from (Taqaddum) headed by Dr. Abdullah Hamdok, the former Prime Minister, will participate, and alongside him will be Dr. Maryam Al-Sadiq Al-Mahdi, Khaled Omar (Silik), Al-Rashid Saeed, and Nour Al-Din Satti, in addition to the participation of some non-governmental organisations and a number of civilian activists.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a statement today in which it denounced Paris’s holding a conference related to Sudan without consultation and coordination with the government, considering the move a disdain for state sovereignty and international law.

It is worth noting that a number of workshops will be held on the sidelines of the conference, in which participants from Sudanese society will discuss some issues related to the future of peace in Sudan.
