The Sudanese army announced that its military operations had reached advanced stages in preparation to liberate the city of Wad Madani, the capital of the Gezira state, from the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia.
This was disclosed to Almohagig by military sources, in addition to a statement from the official spokesperson for the armed forces, Brigadier General Nabeel Abdullah.
The army declared with unwavering determination: ‘Our forces, driven by unwavering dedication and bravery, are advancing on all fronts. With the grace of God, they will continue this noble mission until our homeland is restored to its former glory, tranquillity reigns, and security is restored to every corner of our beloved nation.’
It further emphasized: ‘The Battle of Dignity is a testament to the unity and collective effort of all Sudanese, a tableau painted with the sweat, blood, and sacrifices of our sons and daughters. Our regular forces, alongside their comrades-in-arms and the joint force of armed struggle movements, are an integral part of this. We are all united in our fight against the mercenaries and the rebellious militia of the Daqlu family.’
Although the army spokesperson did not specify the extent of progress on the fronts, military sources informed Almohagig that the Sudanese army’s axes in the east, west, and south of Gezira state had made progress by approaching the city of Wad Madani.
They indicated that they had repelled militia forces in Um Al-Qura in Gezira state and approached the Hanatoub Bridge, liberating several areas in the process.
