General Ibrahim Jabir receives Mrs. Lulwa Al-Khatir

Member of the Transitional Sovereignty Council, General Marin Engineer, Ibrahim Jabir, today in Port Sudan, received the Qatar’s Minister of International Cooperation, Mrs Lulwa Al-Khatir, who led a delegation from her country to provide support from the Qatari government to the Sudanese people in the current crisis.

Jabir conveyed greetings and thanks from Lieutenant General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, the Chairman of the Transitional Sovereignty Council, to the State of Qatar, government, and people, and to Qatari organisations for their continuous support and assistance to the Sudanese people and for the humanitarian aid they have been providing to Sudan, according to a statement issued by the Transitional Sovereignty Council’s media office.

The member of the Transitional Sovereignty Council expressed his gratitude and appreciation for the increasing efforts that the Qatari government has continued to make to support and assist the Sudanese people in achieving security, stability, and development.

Ambassador Abdul Raouf Amer, Director of the Peace and Humanitarian Affairs Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, said in a press statement after the meeting that the Qatari State Minister for International Cooperation arrived in Sudan accompanied by a plane carrying medical assistance and 50,000 food baskets. She is scheduled to visit Port Sudan Hospital, the Kidney Hospital, and the Medical Supplies Fund and distribute food baskets through the Qatar Charity to the states affected by the war.

He added that Mrs. Lulwa expressed her hope for achieving security and stability for Sudan and its people.
