Jibril: Sudan is Qualified to be the Food Basket of Africa and the Middle East

Sudanese Minister of Finance and Economic Planning, Jibril Ibrahim, said that Sudan is fully qualified to be the food basket of Africa and the Middle East and perhaps the world as well if a real global partnership is managed in the field of infrastructure, advanced technology and production inputs to transform the latent potential for production.
This came during his participation in joint business meetings on the sidelines of his participation in the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.
He stressed the need to combine efforts and create partnerships in land, water and available capabilities to open large outlets for export.
He pointed out the importance of joint work to avoid obstacles and challenges that hinder the export process, especially wars and epidemics that have negatively affected production and export lines.
