L. General Kabashi: The Government’s Negotiating Position is Flexible Enough to Put an End to the Suffering of the Affected

Juba – almohagig

Transitional Sovereignty Council member and Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Shams al-Din Kabashi, affirmed that the Sudanese government’s proposal for negotiations regarding cessation of hostilities and the passage of humanitarian aid is flexible and open to discussion to the extent that ensures agreement with the SPLA- North to end the suffering experienced by citizens due to the ongoing war in areas controlled by both parties.

In his meeting on Saturday at the “Pramit Juba” hotel with members of the popular delegation supporting the success of the humanitarian track, Kabashi indicated that the government does not object to delivering aid to the remaining states witnessing similar conditions as soon as guarantees and measures ensuring the safety of humanitarian workers are provided.

This comes especially as the government has previously approved similar measures multiple times, only to have them violated by the rebel militia.
