Manawi Promises to Turn El Fasher into an RSF Graveyard

Cairo – almohagig – Sabah Musa

Minny Arko Manawi, the leader of the Sudan Liberation Movement, affirmed that the battle of El Fasher, the capital of North Darfur State, will be the graveyard for the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia.

Manawi told “Al-Mohagig” that El Fasher city is entirely safe, and that joint forces, regular forces, and popular support will intensify in the Battle of Dignity. He added that the siege imposed by the RSF militia on El Fasher will be lifted through military efforts that have already begun.

Regarding the position of Sheikh Musa Hilal, the leader of the Mahamid tribe, and his declaration of standing alongside the armed forces, Manawi said that Hilal’s stance is not new, but his announcement is new. He emphasised that Musa Hilal had not previously joined the Rapid Support Forces, confirming that the leader of the Mahamid tribe sees foreigners pillaging his country and that this stance is obligatory.

In his comment on the remarks of the former Chadian ambassador to Cairo, Amine Al-Doudou Abdullah, Manawi clarified that these remarks come in the context of statements by the Chadian foreign minister, who speaks as if he were an official spokesperson for this militia. This illustrates that the Rapid Support Forces project is not a Sudanese project but rather one that came to Sudan and transcends borders. He pointed out that the flaw in Al-Doudou’s speech is that he blames Sheikh Musa Hilal under the pretext that he opposes an ethnic and tribal project.

When asked about the formation of the new government in the country and the positions of the Sudan Liberation Movement within it, Manawi replied: “So far, I have no interest in the government and how it will be. My priorities now are restoring the citizen’s dignity and preserving his unity, safety, and stability.” Manawi also commented on the complaint submitted by Sudan to the Security Council and the request of the Sudanese permanent mission in New York for the Council to discuss Abu Dhabi’s support for the Rapid Support Forces and demand that it be considered a partner in the war against Sudan. Manawi said: “This complaint must yield results because Sudan cannot remain silent in the face of the dismantling practices carried out by specific known countries.”
Minny Arko Manawi is expected to arrive in Cairo this evening, Saturday, to attend meetings of the Democratic Bloc.
