Khartoum – Al-Mohagig

The Minister of Energy and Oil, Dr. Mohi Eldin Naeem Mohammed Saeed, pledged to provide all the requirements for the electricity sector to ensure supply during the holy month of Ramadan in Khartoum State. This comes as officials in the electricity sector revealed challenges facing the sector, including reopening offices and stopping encroachments on electricity.

Officials pointed to efforts to supply areas that were bombed, affecting the infrastructure of substations and transmission lines. The Governor of Khartoum, Ahmed Osman Hamza, directed efforts to address these problems, especially as citizens approach the blessed month of Ramadan and the summer season.

For his part, the General Manager of the Sudan Electricity Holding Company, Engineer Abdullah Ahmed Mohamed Ali, stated that the company views Khartoum with special consideration in light of the war and is making appreciable efforts to find solutions to the problems. He pledged to treat employees in the electricity sector during the war with a positive and appreciative approach fitting of their sacrifices to address faults.”
