Port Sudan – almohagig
Acting Federal Minister of Health Haitham Mohamed Ibrahim discussed ways of joint bilateral cooperation between the two countries in the health sector with the Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt to Sudan, Hani Salama, in Port Sudan.
The Minister praised the stance of the Egyptian government, represented by the Egyptian Ministry of Health and Population, in providing health services to Sudanese citizens in Egypt through the protocol signed between the two countries.
Haitham called for Sudan to benefit from the expertise and techniques of the advanced Egyptian pharmaceutical industries and the training of cadres, revealing the ministry’s policy aimed at achieving pharmaceutical abundance through the Egyptian market, in addition to coordinating joint work and overcoming the obstacles of the private sector working in the pharmaceutical industry.
The Egyptian Ambassador to Sudan, Hani Salama, pledged to make Egypt’s pharmaceutical expertise available and support the continued provision of health services in various fields.
Salama confirmed that 50 visas are issued daily for Sudanese patients for treatment in Egypt.
