The Foreign Minister Meets his Qatari Counterpart and the Crisis in Sudan Leads the Discussion

On Thursday, the Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs, Hussein Awad Ali, met with the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs of Qatar, Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulaziz bin Saleh Al-Khulaifi, on the sidelines of his participation in the tenth session of the ministerial meeting of the China-Arab States Cooperation Forum in the Chinese capital, Beijing.

During the meeting, the two sides engaged in a fruitful discussion on ways to enhance bilateral cooperation between Sudan and the State of Qatar in all fields. The minister expressed profound gratitude for the commendable and clear roles of the State of Qatar in supporting the Sudanese people, highlighting the high appreciation of Sudan, both government and people, for all forms of support that Qatar has provided to Sudan, particularly its efforts and contributions in addressing the Darfur crisis and its role in providing humanitarian aid during the current phase Sudan is going through.

The meeting reviewed the developments in Sudan, where both sides exchanged views on strengthening efforts and political initiatives proposed to address the crisis in Sudan.

Both sides reiterated the strong fraternal relations between the two brotherly countries and their unwavering commitment to enhance cooperation in various fields. They expressed their readiness and determination to collaborate closely to achieve development in Sudan and to provide robust support for the reconstruction efforts after the end of the war.
