The Minister of Justice to Geneva

Geneva – Exclusive

Minister of Justice Muawiya Osman Mohamed Khair is heading to Geneva tomorrow, Tuesday, leading the Sudanese delegation participating in the fifty-fifth session of the United Nations Human Rights Council. According to information obtained by AlMohagig, the Minister of Justice will present Sudan’s statement during the high-level segment of the session and Sudan’s statement during the enhanced dialogue session on the human rights situation in Sudan, scheduled for next Friday.

Sources informed AlMohagig that the Minister of Justice will meet on the sidelines of the session with the High Commissioner for Human Rights, the President of the Human Rights Council, and some heads of international organisations, each separately. He will also hold several important bilateral meetings with his counterparts from friendly countries.

The participation of the Minister of Justice, according to informed sources, represents an important opportunity to reflect on the realities of the human rights situation in the country due to the war of the Rapid Support Forces militia on Sudan and its people and the serious violations of international human rights law and international humanitarian law committed.
