The Regional Director of the WHO Will Arrive in Sudan Tomorrow

The Acting Federal Minister of Health, Haitham Ibrahim, said in a statement to the press today, Monday, that the visit of the Regional Director of the World Health Organization to Sudan, which will begin tomorrow, Tuesday, and will last for two days, is of great importance to the country, as it is the first visit of the Regional Director to a country outside the routine work of the organisation, after her nomination in February last year.
The minister added: “It reflects greatly that the humanitarian situation in Sudan requires urgent and significant interventions, in addition to drawing the attention of the international community to the necessity of providing health services to the different states of Sudan.
The minister pointed out that the visit program includes meetings and field tours to several hospitals and health centres, as well as coordination meetings with the ministry and international organisations present in the field.
