Upcoming Political Pact Between Army and Sudanese Parties

The Chairman of the Sovereignty Council, Lieutenant General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, met with the coordination body of the Democratic and Civil Forces, headed by Malik Aqar Air, Vice President of the Sovereignty Council and Head of the Coordination Council, in the presence of several Coordination leaders.

The coordination body confirmed its stand with the armed forces, praising the victories they had achieved. The Coordination announced its condemnation of the criminal violations and systematic genocide committed by the militia against citizens and civilian objects.

The Coordination-body announced its support for the Sudanese-Sudanese dialogue that does not exclude anyone and its support for the popular resistance and announced that it would sign a political pact with the armed forces.

Mustafa Tambour, the official spokesman for the Coordination-body of the Democratic and Civil Forces, said in a press statement that the President of the Sovereignty Council was informed of the results of the founding conference of the Coordination-body of the Democratic and Civil Forces.

Tambour said, “The coordination affirmed its support for the armed forces as they fight the battle of dignity and that any political process does not begin until the rebel militia that wants to hijack and destroy the country is eliminated.”

He added that during the meeting, it was agreed to sign a political charter between the armed forces and the Coordination Body.

For his part, Ali Khalifa Askouri, a member of the coordination body, said that the meeting touched on the coordination program and plans following the holding of its founding conference during the last period, in the presence of Malik Aqar Air, Vice President of the Sovereignty Council and Chairman of the Coordination Body.

He added that the delegation congratulated the Chairman of the Sovereignty Council and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces on the victory of the armed forces and other regular forces and the restoration of radio and television.

Askouri pointed out that the meeting touched on the country’s overall situation, the political forces’ position, and the efforts made to bring the national ranks together and expand the base of participation for all political forces. He said, “The President of the Council confirmed his support for this approach and that the state is ready and wants all political groups to agree on the minimum level of political work until the formation of “Government and starting to build Sudan after the end of the war.”
